Atomic Beer Project is a microbrewery and restaurant which splices urban grunge with 1980s sci-fi and the flair of modern Pas-Asian dining. The space, located in a formerly abandoned mid-century brick warehouse, features colour-blocked and patterned textiles from Kvadrat and Febrik throughout.

The textiles bring texture and dimension to the industrial setting. They are specified in tones that match the colour palette, which is inspired by white pale ale, XPA and IPA beer cans and Rabbitohs, the local football club.

Fixed banquette seating and the striped bolsters are upholstered with Sprinkles by Febrik and Ria by Kvadrat/Raf Simons - both offer a kaleidoscope of coloured dots - as well as Recheck. In addition, Bright Grid is used together with a side border crafted from Memory, in different colour combinations.

Yasmine Ghoniem, YSG director: “The bar’s banquette cushions are tubular arrangements bound by belt straps, referencing Thai triangle backrest cushions.”

Striped Reflex and Canvas further continue the goal of sandwiching grid-like formal patterns in textural and piped accents.
